Matthew 7:24-29

When disaster strikes what you built up is only as strong as what was laid down. Disasters, storms, and catastrophes are a reality in this life and it makes no difference whether you're good or bad; it comes to us all. What determines how you weather these storms is the foundation of your life. Disasters reveal what our lives are truly built upon. Concluding the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is not outlining a high moral code as much as he is revealing himself as the Rock on which we can build our lives. He is the Rock of our salvation in times of trouble!
