Tomorrow night 7:30p is the Taste of Alpha event!  We are hosting it both in person in the Friendship Room and also on zoom.  This is open to all, but especially to the curious, the atheist, the agnostic, the skeptic.  It's a great program to introduce people to the truth claims of Christianity.  This one-night teaser is to build momentum for launching the full 11 week program in September.

 

I've also said this is a great program for already believers to get (re)acquainted with our beliefs.  Frankly, I think every Christian should go through this as a wonderful refresher...not only for what we believe is true but also to see how we can engage folks who don't believe yet!

 

This is designed in such a way to encourage hard questions and open, honest conversations so that even an atheist would feel welcome to share.  We watch a video together and then we are guided by a facilitator to freely discuss.  So, one of the ground rules of the discussion time is that there is no judgment and no direct answering of questions.  We let the videos do the answering and let the open questions linger as the Holy Spirit works softening hearts and opening minds.

 

So, consider this your invite and also feel free to forward this email as an invite to that person or people you've been wondering if they'd be interested to come.  Maybe even suggest that you'd come with them!
